Best of Both Worlds

Poetry Seen and Heard
by
Ian Crockatt and Stuart B Campbell

Friday 5 May 2006

7.30pm

Aberdeen Arts Centre

Admission Free

An opportunity to engage with Ian Crockatt's SKALD (a contemporary narrative poem derived from early Norse poetry) and other poems. Stuart B Campbell will present THE SOURCE: images which lie behind this selection of his poetry.

Although both poets' work is quite distinct in terms of style and content, their shared objective is to write poetry that pushes the boundaries of what poetry can say and do. Campbell and Crockatt have a working association that spans more than ten years, during which they have between them published more than four hundred poems, seven collections and other prose work. This joint reading in Aberdeen is, however, one of the rare occasions where they share the stage.
